In one or two sentences describe what you do at Afundi? 

Each day brings new and unique challenges as a cofounder of Afundi. My main focus is on business development and overseeing branding and website projects. Collaborating closely with the team, our aim is to surpass client expectations and deliver projects of the utmost quality.

What do you enjoy most about working at Afundi?

Without a doubt, it is the remarkable team and clients I have the privilege of working with. I firmly believe that the most impactful results are achieved through collaboration, leveraging diverse perspectives and experiences from individuals.

What advice would you give to someone starting their career in our industry?

Having a mentor or someone to learn from, or even learn with, is crucial in any career. It plays a vital role in enabling you to exchange ideas, learn from their experiences, and seek valuable advice and guidance.

Something no one knows about you?

While those in my inner circle are aware of this, I believe that most will be unaware of my deep obsession with the NFL. It’s definitely a dream to go to a Superbowl.

In terms of authenticity and challenging industry giants, Innocent Drinks has consistently served as a tremendous source of inspiration. Additionally, I find myself greatly impressed by the remarkable ascent of Gym Shark, as they have managed to bring innovation to a space that has historically lacked diversity.

At Afundi, my role is to design brands and websites with a strong emphasis on optimising their functionality and efficiency. I strive to create cohesive and visually appealing brand identities, while also ensuring that the websites I design are intuitive, user-friendly, and deliver an exceptional user experience.

What do you enjoy most about working at Afundi? 

What I find most fulfilling about working at Afundi is the breadth of my job role and the opportunity it presents to shape a brand's entire journey, starting from its inception and extending all the way to the website.

Being involved in every step of the process allows me to ensure that the brand story remains consistent and compelling throughout, creating a memorable and engaging experience for both clients and their customers.

What advice would you give to someone starting their career in our industry?

One valuable piece of advice I would offer to someone embarking on their career in our industry is to actively build relationships and make friends with others in the field. Cultivating connections within the industry can offer guidance, inspiration, and a sounding board for your thoughts, ultimately propelling your growth and success in the industry.

This changes for me all the time, currently, I’m loving Pet's at Homes's recent rebrand. Additionally, I am continually captivated by Apple's consistent commitment to crafting a sleek and luxurious brand experience.

In one or two sentences describe what you do at Afundi?

At Afundi, I serve as a Webflow Developer and Junior Front End Developer, supporting the core development team and expanding our Webflow offering.

In this role, I collaborate closely with our awesome designer and engineers to translate creative designs into functional, visually appealing websites, while also implementing cutting-edge Webflow features and optimising user experience.

What do you enjoy most about working at Afundi?

One of the aspects I enjoy most about working at Afundi is the incredibly supportive, patient, and understanding team. I genuinely feel I am valued and appreciated for my contributions.

The team's support fosters a collaborative and positive work environment, allowing me to thrive and grow both professionally and personally.

What advice would you give to someone starting their career in our industry?

Focus on mastering the core fundamentals of programming as they form the foundation of your technical skills.

Understanding algorithms, data structures, and programming paradigms will empower you to tackle complex challenges and adapt to new technologies more effectively.

Continuously invest in strengthening your core programming knowledge to thrive in your career.

It transitions between casual wear and reliable technical apparel, perfectly aligning with my active lifestyle. With my love for the outdoors, I look forward to exploring Europe's natural beauty through camping and outdoor adventures. I'm immigrating to the UK this June!

I really enjoy working with the other talented people in my team and the challenging projects we get to work on daily. No two days are the same so it makes for a really interesting work environment.

What advice would you give to someone starting their career in our industry?

Just get started. If you have an idea or want to try something, go for it. Learning as you go is the best way and the more you code, the better you will become.
